Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Era (version 1.0.0), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our app.

Era is a privacy-first visual travel diary application that operates entirely on your device. The app allows you to:

• Capture and organize travel photos locally on your device
• Create a personal visual diary of your journeys
• Manage and view your travel memories privately
• Store all data exclusively on your device with no cloud storage

Important: Era v1.0.0 does not require an internet connection, does not collect location data, and does not upload any of your content to external servers.

Era v1.0.0 does not require you to create an account. You can use the app immediately without:

• Providing personal information (email, name, phone number)
• Creating login credentials
• Connecting to social media accounts
• Agreeing to data collection or tracking

You retain complete ownership of all content you create in Era.

• All photos and data belong solely to you
• Your content is stored only on your device
• We do not have access to, store, or process your content
• We never receive copies of your photos or data
• You can delete your content at any time

Because all data is stored locally, you are responsible for backing up your device to prevent data loss.

Era v1.0.0 does not use location services:

• The app does not request location permissions
• No GPS or location tracking is performed
• We do not collect, store, or process location data

Note: If you add photos that contain location metadata from your device's camera, that metadata remains embedded in your photo files on your device, but Era does not access or use it.

Privacy is fundamental to Era. Our Privacy Policy explains in detail how we protect your privacy by:

• Not collecting personal information
• Storing all data locally on your device
• Not using third-party analytics or tracking
• Not uploading your photos to any server

The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service.

The Era application, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Era and protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Your content remains yours. We claim no intellectual property rights over the photos and data you create with Era.

You agree to use Era responsibly and legally. You agree not to:

• Use the app for illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the app
• Redistribute or resell the app without authorization
• Remove or modify copyright notices or branding
• Use the app in a way that violates others' rights

Because Era stores all data locally on your device:

• You are responsible for backing up your device (via iCloud, Google Backup, etc.)
• Uninstalling Era will delete all app data from your device
• We cannot recover lost data if your device is lost, damaged, or reset
• We recommend regular device backups to protect your memories

Era is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Defects will be corrected
• The app is free of viruses or harmful components
• The results of using the app will meet your requirements

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Era and its developers shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data, photos, or memories
• Device malfunctions or compatibility issues
• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities

Your use of Era is at your own risk. We strongly recommend backing up your device regularly.

We may release updates to Era that:

• Add new features or functionality
• Fix bugs or improve performance
• Modify existing features

Future versions may introduce optional cloud features. If we do, these features will be:

• Entirely optional and opt-in
• Clearly explained before activation
• Subject to updated Terms and Privacy Policy

You will not be required to use cloud features to continue using Era's core functionality.

You may stop using Era at any time by:

• Uninstalling the app from your device
• Deleting your content through the app before uninstalling

We reserve the right to discontinue the app or restrict access for violations of these Terms, though since v1.0.0 operates locally without accounts, enforcement is limited.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through:

• App Store release notes
• Updates to this webpage
• In-app notifications (if applicable in future versions)

Continued use of Era after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
